Red Baron Posted September 27, 2007 #1 Posted September 27, 2007 A couple weeks ago I asked for some help with my tape deck. It was "eating" my tapes. I got good advice from this group. I did a short "how to" of what I did to affect repairs. I put it all in a "word" format, complete with photos, and was going to load it in here for submission to the group. It won't copy the photos. What am I doing wrong ? Thanks for the help Guys ! Red Baron
Marcarl Posted September 27, 2007 #2 Posted September 27, 2007 Try going to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx download IMAGE RESIZER. With this little gem you can resize your images to allow them to down load. Mostly the problem is that the images are too large to download and this will help fix the situation. It's only a small program and works wonders.
Freebird Posted September 27, 2007 #3 Posted September 27, 2007 If you want to email it to me, I'll put it in html format and add it to the tech library. You can send it to dnelson@axcesswave.com
Dexx Posted January 22, 2008 #4 Posted January 22, 2008 Not that it'll break the bank, but I couldn't find Vintage Electronics as mentioned in the article, but I do some business here and there with Newark.com, so I checked with them. Tbey have all the belts mentioned for less than $1.50 apiece. just my 2 cents, so to speak.
mbrood Posted January 24, 2008 #5 Posted January 24, 2008 Can somebody post the different sources and part numbers needed so I can archive it... these old things need help from time to time and Mitzubishi acts ignorant!
Condor Posted January 24, 2008 #6 Posted January 24, 2008 The local electronics store used to have a big box of about every size belt known to God. I used to take the broken belt in and find something close to the original. Nice thing about those nyopreme belts is they stretch to fit within reason.... I've fixed a lot of old tape decks, and VCR's that way.
Red Baron Posted January 26, 2008 Author #7 Posted January 26, 2008 The part numbers for the belts are available here on this post of "how to fix" your unit. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15376 Hope this helps answer your questions. Red Baron
Pappa Bear Posted January 27, 2008 #8 Posted January 27, 2008 Thanks for this post, my tape deck too is having these problems, and with this post it looks like the most difficult part is to remove the unit from the bike itself!! Lookin forward to refurbishing mine, thanks again from Castalia,Ohio
