cb1313 Posted October 17, 2009 #1 Posted October 17, 2009 I am in Arkansas and plan on spending the winter in Floride. I have a 37 foot toy hauler and I am looking for motorcycle friendly campgound to spend 4-5 months in ? I lived in St. Pete back in my beach bum days (70,s) and know things have changed. Anyway.... I do not need to be ON the water but close would be nice....small town preferred. Thanks Cb
Guest scarylarry Posted October 17, 2009 #2 Posted October 17, 2009 This is in the panhandle so it might not be weather friendly as you like. Navarre beach small city next to Pensacola, I camped there alot Emerald beach is the one I would stay at not Navarre beach CG. nice but lots of kids.. Also do a search in www.woodalls.com u might need to sign up it is free they have a snowbird selection..
FROG MAN Posted October 17, 2009 #3 Posted October 17, 2009 I spent a little time down on Navarre beach about 20 years ago. I was down a couple of years ago to review my old stomping ground and the place was gone. I mean Hurricane gone no access. Last time I was at Flagler beach that was a nice little community.
Thom Posted October 17, 2009 #4 Posted October 17, 2009 if i went back my choice would be Deland or Umatalla , Deland is 25 mile from daytona and 40 from Disney , and on the St.Johns river next to the Ocala nat.forest . Umatella , well google earth it and you will see why . Thom
1 - UP Posted October 17, 2009 #5 Posted October 17, 2009 Christmas, FL has a campground. It is east of Orlando on HY 50, and West of Titusville and the Space Center. WE have some good riding in the area. It's about an hour from Daytona, and hour from Disney, and Sea World. If you like I could try to get some information on the place to you and see if they have any openings. Ken:080402gudl_prv:
Gary N. Posted October 18, 2009 #6 Posted October 18, 2009 I liked this place. http://www.morganrvresorts.com/pages/blueberryhillfl_homepage Just south of Ocala so not the best for real hot weather but nice riding around there and kind of central.
