wes0778 Posted October 16, 2009 #1 Posted October 16, 2009 This is a coal hauler for Mississippi Power on the Miss. Gulf coast. The company that I work for/retired from did a complete rebuild on it. This is the truck that is hauling it from Jackson to the coast. The complete truck/trailer rig is 167' long. Thought y'all might enjoy seeing it...
Monty Posted October 16, 2009 #2 Posted October 16, 2009 I used to ride in one of those when I was a little boy. My Dad drove one for a rock quarry in Kentucky, when I was younger. He used to take me down in the mines...that was scary at the time.
Squidley Posted October 16, 2009 #3 Posted October 16, 2009 It's amazing how big those are, makes the tractor pulling it look small. I used to do onsite welding repairs for many different heavy machinery, rebuilt cat 992 loader buckets and portable shaker decks. I always loved doing that stuff.....hey I still do
