bendtdj Posted October 13, 2009 #1 Posted October 13, 2009 Does anyone here know of a Yamaha model called a "Vista"? I have seen on eBay a listing for a "1983 yamaha vista royal back rest", item number is 320435513668. I am wondering if this may fit a 1984 Venture? The back rest appears very similar to others I have seen listed for the First Gens. It is listed at an inexpensive price and I do not know if it will fit or not. I don't want to bid if it won't work. Also, How do others partners find sitting behind a driver's back rest. Is there enough room? Thanks. Dave
mbrood Posted October 13, 2009 #2 Posted October 13, 2009 It's a typo... they meant Venture Royale... not Vista Royal. Fit's 83-85
Condor Posted October 13, 2009 #3 Posted October 13, 2009 And I wouldn't screw around. Take the BIN. If you don't, I will.... Gotcha!!! Just kidding
barend Posted October 14, 2009 #4 Posted October 14, 2009 If you miss out, I've got one I can sell you (black), just let me know. Brenda has no issues with mine, I like it for the support and the fact that she can't squeeze me to death:ignore:
RossKean Posted October 14, 2009 #5 Posted October 14, 2009 If a Yamaha Vista is anything like Windows Vista then it would only run very slowly and a backrest (or any other accessory) for this bike wouldn't fit anything else. Might find it prone to crashing as well.
Blue Giant Posted October 14, 2009 #6 Posted October 14, 2009 Maybe Yamaha should have called the Venture Royale the Vista Cruiser! ..........or did Oldsmobile already beat them to that name?
