As hard as it is to sell a bike these days I'm going to try something different. I want to do some trading.

I just posted my 2006 Road Star Midnight, with photos, in the Classifieds section under "Other Motorcycles". I'm wanting to do a Solo Star Glide to go along with my '07 RSV so i'm hoping there may be a member here with a Venture that's wanting to trade for a Road Star.

I'm open to any year 2nd Gen. but I would rather it be a similar year to my Roadie so neither of us has to pay much difference but I won't let that stop me if I need to.

Well, let's see what happens!

Bike market isn't too bad. I posted mine on Craigslist and sold it 3 days later. I took $200 less than what I wanted, but I wasn't gonna cry about that. Good luck on the sale!

Maybe you were lucky or maybe yours was listed low or maybe it's just this area that has a weak market... but I keep seeing the same bikes (including mine) listed over and over in this area.

In any case, someone else and myself just may get lucky and have just what the other is looking for. Sure can't hurt to ask!

I live in Metro DC, so that might explain it. I asked KBB and got $200 less. I also bought my Venture for $4,000 less than KBB. I got a steal.

You'll sell it. Make sure you put it on Craigslist for your city, and any around you that you're willing to drive it to. It's free!

Yup, it must be a regional thing. I just did a search of Craigslist within 400 miles of me and found 3...

'99 RSV $5700

'00 RSV $6500 12k miles

'01 RSV $6800

2 weeks ago I found 4 '99 RSV's from $4500-$6000.

And they usually show up again about 6 weeks later. Same way with the Roadie's.
