Flash41 Posted October 8, 2009 #1 Posted October 8, 2009 My '83 VR had no CB when I bought it a couple of months back and am curious about a removable handheld type for it and if there is away to adapt one to an add-on helmet headset? I'm not worried about the PTT part or bluetooth. Also, what brands would work? Thanks in advance.
Wizard765 Posted October 8, 2009 #2 Posted October 8, 2009 J&M makes aftermarket handlebar CB units that I've heard work well. http://www.jmcorp.com/Static/jmcb-2003.htm Wayne

dynodon Posted October 8, 2009 #4 Posted October 8, 2009 Put the J&M CB on my wife's Shadow Ace Tour, and it works and looks great. Has weather radio built in, you can get single rider or two rider versions, has separate controls for anything you plug into it, like a CD player or an MP3 etc. Good quality and distance. Get the 3' license plate mounted antenna for the best range.
