Whitlow Posted October 7, 2009 #1 Posted October 7, 2009 So I got my shock air pump in today and went to add air the the shocks. It had zero in both front forks and rear shock. The rear pumped up to 30psi I'll try that and see how it is but the front forks will not pump up at all. What do you think is causing this? This sucks!!!! I have been ridding with no psi with my girl friend a total weight of around 325lbs and never had the rear bottom out. Should I run 30psi in it?
SilvrT Posted October 7, 2009 #2 Posted October 7, 2009 I run 35psi in the rear shock and zero in the front. I tried 5psi in the front but did not really see where there was any difference. Maybe I just didn't go over the right kind of roads. Dunno why you can't get air into the front tho...???
cecdoo Posted October 7, 2009 #3 Posted October 7, 2009 I dont run any air front or back, rides just fine. Craig
gscbertrand Posted October 7, 2009 #4 Posted October 7, 2009 How are old are your fork seals air and oil? Have you listend for an air leak?
BuddyRich Posted October 7, 2009 #5 Posted October 7, 2009 I run 35 in the back. Nada in the front. You can only take the fronts to like 7 I think. Are the Schrader Valves in and snug. You'll need one of those tools for removing the valve stem valve (Schrader valve) to check. You can get them at Walmart for a couple of bucks.

OldBear Posted October 8, 2009 #7 Posted October 8, 2009 New from the dealer mine had zero air front and rear. It rode decent, but seemed to wallow a little in the sweepers. Went to 4 PSI up front and 26 rear and it really seeming to tighten up the ride and stabilize the bike. Been that set up ever since and am pretty satisfied with it.
