Hey all! I hope everyone has been well. I have not been around much lately - busy, busy, busy...

The attached pic os of my father in 1952. Can anyone ID the bike he is on?

Thanks for any help!

Thanks! I think you may be right. The tank badge looks like it is probably Harley. I've been searching the web for pictures and I can't match it up exactly. Dad sure was a tough looking guy!

I need to reformat it when I get home. I scanned the actual photo and pasted into a Word doc.

Thanks guys! Daughter's tennis season is done - now the tournaments. Then we have two college visits left and life will return to normal. No, wait...still have the guest house to finish remodeling. THEN life will return to normal!

the tank badge is the same as on my 1950 H-D FL, however the engine is a "flat head"

I cant identify it further,

But note the narrow fron fender, small front brake and what looks like a siren just ahead of the rear tire.

I woulld have to guess tha is it is the saller 700 CC engine.

The cars in the bacground look to be form the 30s or 40s but I am not an expert.

It's a Harley, most likely a "125" but could be a "165", if you could see the cyl. head, the "125" had a slanted sparkplug (to the rear) the "165" plug is vertical. Another "givaway" Is the rubber band suspension a 125....Telescopic forks were later on the 165.

Due to indecisiveness, the prize has been reduced to a great big thanks! But thanks for playing! :happy65:
