BOO Posted October 4, 2009 #1 Posted October 4, 2009 I had mentioned my BSA in a post recently and had a request to put some pictures in my Gallery. The pictures there are not real good, I'll have to take some better ones some day. Enjoy, BOO
Eck Posted October 5, 2009 #2 Posted October 5, 2009 Very nice BOO.... I really like the sound of those older rides... It looks small next to your Venture.. brings back many memories..thanks!
eagleeye Posted October 5, 2009 #3 Posted October 5, 2009 Yup, thanks Boo. Grew up on those old british twins. I used to be able to tell by the sound what each bike was that went by. Your lucky to have it. Steve
86er Posted October 5, 2009 #4 Posted October 5, 2009 Very Nice indeed! My brother had a '68 Lightning. Biggest, heaviest bike I had ever riden in my life at the time! Tried to pop a wheelie from a light one time. Did it just like I did with my 350 Honda, rev'ed it up and dumped the clutch. It was so heavy that the front wheel didn't lift at all, the back tire just spun and lit up!!! Didn't know I could do a burnout! In my garage is a '65 650 Firebird Scrambler that a friend bought new; there were only 250 imported that year. It was rusting in his backyard and he said that if I would work on it and not forget who it belongs to, he would pay for parts. Hmmmmm, I need to get started on that project!
Carbon_One Posted October 5, 2009 #5 Posted October 5, 2009 That's a nice bike Boo. Had a 65-67 SpitFire. Forget what year it was. Had the red/white fiberglass peanut tank and dual carbs. Sure wish I still had it too. Enjoy the ride. Larry
DragonRider Posted October 5, 2009 #7 Posted October 5, 2009 Along with the other 5 or 6 bikes you have sitting in that garage and around your house...........I thought I was bad taking a year to get my 1st gen all fixed up.........but I forgot about ole 86er...........
