Thom Posted November 12, 2007 #26 Posted November 12, 2007 a lot of the bars do not have good chrome plated that would crack , i have bent a few of the cheaper ones , the ones that are in your pic looks likes rebent ape hangers , one of the easest way to tell if the bars can be bent is chrome is very heavy and lite bares can be bent very easy . use a pro. bender not a cheap one , most good welding shops have good bender .
Thom Posted November 12, 2007 #27 Posted November 12, 2007 back to trike bars , if you have a marine welding shop around you , have them make you some bars out of 7/8 or 1in. stainless steel boat railing ,should be less than 100 bucks . you can make a pattern by using 3/4 pvc and a heat gun than take it to your marine welder to copy
