Ponch Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Does anyone have a head light frame they don't need? I want to install a Tribar lens on the Venture headlight frame, but don't want to destroy my stocker. It doesn't matter if the lens is cracked or broken, I'm going to break it out anyway. Thanks, Ponch
Squidley Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 David, If I'm not mistaken Floyd, (here in Michigan) put a tribar lense in his '03. You might want to PM him and pick his brain a bit to see what he went through to make it happen.
Ponch Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 Thanks, Brad. I'll shoot Floyd a PM. Going by Eck's excellant article on lens replacement, you have to cut the stock lens out and epoxy or glue in the new lens. It looks pretty simple. I just don't want to waste a good lens. Somebody might need a replacement someday.
Squidley Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Thats good thinking Dave, I'll be interested in seeing how you come along with it once we get down there

Sylvester Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 I did the headlight replacement in 2004 and have never had a problem with it. I used the Adjure wave cut main headlight and also installed the wave cut pass lights. With the PIAA bulbs it really puts the light on the road.
BuddyRich Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I had a Tribar black dot Adjure on mine for a while. I really did not like the light pattern. It seemed like a W pattern. Went and put a Bosch in it . Its much better now. Was using the PIAA's in both. I'd check the pattern out in the driveway with a battery and a bulb before I do it again. .
Ponch Posted October 3, 2009 Author Posted October 3, 2009 I think I will check the light pattern before I tear into it. Thanks for the suggestion, Buddy
