I am going to a Willie Nelson concert tonight in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It is raining and miserable, but this might be my only chance to see him in person, so I am going.

I guess I am "CRAZY"!

Years back I was traveling and stayed in Austin, Tx for a few days. Took in the local color and made myself at home in a few local places of adult beverage. I was cuddled up at the bar chewing the fat with a local boy and there was someone singing in the background. The voice sounded familar and I went over to take a look at the stage and there he was. Willie. Live and jamming with the the band. Blew me away. I stayed until close and he would sing off and on all during the evening.

What a way to see the guy. I've never wanted to go to a big concert to see him after that. I saw him at his best just doing what he does. Can't ask for more than that.

Enjoy the show for sure. Hope he does "Stardust".

Wish I was there, would have loved to have seen Willie.

Just saw Charley Pride a couple of weeks ago.

Love that era of music.

We went to the concert. We were probably one hundred feet away from Willy. He looked exactly like he always has. Of course, like all of us he has gotten older. He was not able to sing like he used too unfortunately. I did still enjoy seeing him in person. He sang all of his best known songs. My favorite is Crazy and On the Road Again.

There was a huge crowd. We go to the FallFest in Lawrenceburg every year. In the past we have seen Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, Sarah Evans,

and my all time favorite performance was Hank Williams, Jr.

The reason the town can get these big country singers is because there is the Hollywood casino right there.

Glad you enjoyed it.:happy65::clap2::thumbsup::clap2::happy65:

I saw him in Deadwood about 10 years ago. From the pics of him lately, he's aged quite a bit since then. 10 years probably hasn't been kind to the voice box either.:think:

Lucky you Peggy. I had to go to Phantom of the Opera last night. Put me to sleep.

Hey Gary, at least it was a productive night!

Glad you and Ron had a great nite, Peg. Saw him and Mellencamp at the LiveAid here in Indy in 88, private party the night before.
