BradT Posted September 23, 2009 #1 Posted September 23, 2009 Curious if it was possible to add a feature to the Main text area similar to the newer versions of Microsoft and Lotus Notes. When you type a word incorrectly you get a red squigle under the word. If you right click the word there is suggestions for the correct spelling. Brad
Freebird Posted September 23, 2009 #3 Posted September 23, 2009 That is correct. I use Firefox and it works that way. The only option available for IE is ISpell where you have to right click on and choose check spelling or use the ISpell icon in the upper right of this box.
BradT Posted September 23, 2009 Author #4 Posted September 23, 2009 I have too see if I can get that loaded. Not sure if the company has IE as the standard and blocked Firefox. I tried to download it once before and something happened. I will try it again Thanks Brad

BigBoyinMS Posted September 23, 2009 #7 Posted September 23, 2009 Google Chrome works like that, too!
BradT Posted September 23, 2009 Author #8 Posted September 23, 2009 Or you could just learn how to spell. :rotf:I was thinking of a few others that could you use the feature (including me) Brad
BuddyRich Posted September 23, 2009 #9 Posted September 23, 2009 Lotus Notes already has a spell check built into it.(the company I work for is a Domino/Notes shop) Are talking about browsing from within Notes. If so, set you browser to be Firefox or IE with the Ispell plugin added from your Notes preferences. That way any links coming thru your email will be opened by the browser you set when your in Notes.
Condor Posted October 21, 2009 #10 Posted October 21, 2009 Freebird posted a link to a spell checker downloadable from Micro Soft. Tried to find it to add to the reloaded XP Media but no luck. Is that thing still around or have they discontinued it?? I used it a olt.....

Here's another one that might be helpful (I haven't checked it out but someone could...) http://download.cnet.com/TinySpell/3000-2079_4-10507622.html
Condor Posted October 21, 2009 #13 Posted October 21, 2009 Here's another one that might be helpful (I haven't checked it out but someone could...) http://download.cnet.com/TinySpell/3000-2079_4-10507622.html Thanks Rick, but the one Don gave the link to was a plug in for IE and it placed a link right in the tool bar. Really convient.
MiCarl Posted October 21, 2009 #14 Posted October 21, 2009 If your posts don't have spelling errors you'll have no credibility as a biker!
Condor Posted October 21, 2009 #15 Posted October 21, 2009 If your posts don't have spelling errors you'll have no credibility as a biker! Never have been vry creditable...... :rotf:
KiteSquid Posted October 22, 2009 #16 Posted October 22, 2009 I use the spell check function in the Google Tool Bar I installed.
BradT Posted October 22, 2009 Author #17 Posted October 22, 2009 I have Firefox loaded now and it gives me a red line if I spell something incorrectly. Also has stopped that problem where the posts go off the screen. Carl you ought to try it, it is better than that old Dictionary you use. Brad
