SilvrT Posted September 24, 2007 #1 Posted September 24, 2007 A while back I posted about a whining sound I would get going around a right hand curve at speed. Well, I cured it! Turns out it was the rear tire. Even though the tire was not worn out, I had to replace it due to a leak from a nail. I put the same brand/size back on (Avon Venom X) a couple weeks ago and I no longer hear that whine. On another note (and referencing other posts) I also had a whining gear noise during deceleration. Others have stated they have this too. Well, I cured that also! Yesterday I went out for a ride and I donned my wife's helmet (3/4) instead of my own (1/2) and I could hardly hear the gear whine on deceleration! Guess I'm in for a new helmet
