Johnh Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Does anyone have a solution for itchy helmet head. We've tryed do rags , no do rags, but after 1/2 hour to 1 hour my wife's head gets itchy and irritated whenever she wears a helmet, and it doesn't seem to matter which helmet she wears. Any suggestions are appreciated!!!
BEER30 Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 We had the same problem , but more with the wife . So we changed our brand of shampoo and conditioner to a higher PH , giving us a more silkier finish . A cleaner and and softer scalp helped out till we got used to wearing helmets , By the way we both wear shorties and I a modular in the winter sometimes . Also carry a spray bottle of Fabreeze in the saddle bag to keep the irritating sweat and smell at a minimum . Open any and all vents if ya got'em . Also took a small peice of foam , added it to the sides just enough to widen/hold open the foam band around the helmet to allow more air circulation . This was what we did . BEER30
nance56 Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Avoid putting lots of product in your hair. Hairspray is a good one to make it itch. Just my:2cents:
fixit3546 Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 I keep my hair to a max length of 1/4" (usually), this works for me. much cooler too. Probably wont work in her situation...........sorry:detective:

Squeeze Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 I'm picturing you with a ruler, measuring your hair in front of the mirror! me thinks, has to be a double Mirror, so he doesn't need to read the Ruler mirror-inverted ... :rotf::rotf:
