Whitlow Posted September 21, 2009 #1 Posted September 21, 2009 I had one of these on my Honda VTX1800 and really liked having a loud horn. Anyone here have one on there RSV is so where did you mount and do you have any pictures? Thanks
jemorrisonjr Posted September 21, 2009 #2 Posted September 21, 2009 It mounts the same as the Tour deluxe.. The right sire stock horn location with a L bracket
wes0778 Posted September 21, 2009 #3 Posted September 21, 2009 Don't have pictures on my work PC, but if you buy the bracket( in Classified) from menber Carbon_one, it will mount in place of the OEM horn. You will need to add wiring to the relay, as the stock horn wiring will not carry the load. There are numerous threads addressing this installation. Use the SEARCH function for "Stebel". BTW, STAY AWAY for an installation kit called PLUG & PLAY!!!
Dave77459 Posted September 21, 2009 #4 Posted September 21, 2009 I wrote up [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showpost.php?p=362865&postcount=8]a short description and added photos[/ame]. Might be helpful. Dave

I love my Stebel, you mean to say you didnt hear it when we were riding back up to Kamloops Rick? Oh yeah thats right I was sounding off on the tow truck guy dropping car parts all over the road..... Ha! I used it yesterday to get the attention of a white-knuckle cager (seriously, who drives with a death-grip on their steering wheel?) to alert her that her gas tank cap was dangling from her car. I like to think air-horns are polite. :-) You'll love it. Dave
LilBeaver Posted September 21, 2009 #8 Posted September 21, 2009 Haha, Rick you will like it for sure! I too used mine yesterday to let someone know that I was NOT willing to share my lane...
SilvrT Posted September 21, 2009 #9 Posted September 21, 2009 I dunno how long it takes to ship .... I hope not too long as there's probably not going to be many more riding days left before my insurance is ended for the winter (Oct 17th). At least there's always a "day permit" if we still get some nice days after that. I dunno why I waited this long!
Lobo Hurfiano Posted September 22, 2009 #10 Posted September 22, 2009 I have 2 , mounted 1 behind each upper air intake grill (after removing the duct work). Tight fit, but they don't show and sound great. I left the OEM in place but disconected for now. Thinking about fog lights later.
