awsmsrv Posted September 20, 2009 #1 Posted September 20, 2009 How have you connected your iPod to charge while it's playing? Is there a cheap way to do this? I don't want the wireless connection.
Freebird Posted September 20, 2009 #2 Posted September 20, 2009 You can buy a DC Adapter for the Ipod that plugs right into the Ipod and then into the accessory outlet in the dash. Here's an example. http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-DC-Car-Charger-Adapter-For-IPOD-MP3-Nano-3G-Video_W0QQitemZ300342906860QQcmdZViewItemQQptZOther_MP3_Player_Accessories?hash=item45edd50fec&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
awsmsrv Posted September 20, 2009 Author #3 Posted September 20, 2009 OK. So, with that adapter I'd need the USB cable (that came with my Nano to connect it to the computer) that plugs into both the adapter & the Nano plus another cable to go from the headphone jack to the accessory plug in the dash?
bongobobny Posted September 20, 2009 #4 Posted September 20, 2009 Uhhh, no, they make cords that plug into the bottom of the IPOD and the other end plugs into the accessory plug. The audio is just a male to male 1/8" stereo cord plugged into the headphone jack and the cassette deck, but that adapter will work as well. Hey, free shipping...

Yeah, that's what I've been using, but it doesn't charge while it plays. Alright, guys, got it. Everything works. Got the cigarette lighter power adapter plugged in, got the male to male headphone jack plugged both ways. Now the Nano charges while I listen through the stereo speakers. Thanks.
