mraf Posted September 19, 2009 #7 Posted September 19, 2009 Charlie the saying " Its not the ride, but how you get there" definitely applies to you! Keep it up. Myself, I rode to the local BS spot and had breakfast then drove tractor all day.
LilBeaver Posted September 19, 2009 #8 Posted September 19, 2009 I rode in to work then left the office a little early to do some work on the observatory that I help run... Getting it ready to have a few astronomy labs out there this semester. Then what is usually a 10 mile ride home from the observatory took me about 1.5 hours... I took the sort-of scenic route It certainly was not a day of fishing...

Venturous Randy Posted September 20, 2009 #15 Posted September 20, 2009 Even though rain was predicted, I woke up to beautiful sunshine. Made a 140 mile loop through the country on some roads I have never been on before through east TN and western NC. It was like riding through a moving postcard. There were several times I wish I had brought the camera along. RandyA
KarlS Posted September 20, 2009 #16 Posted September 20, 2009 Another beautiful day and had nothing to do. Didn't ride anywhere, bike still broke. I will NEVER own another bike that I can't get parts for. Even though I rode it over 10,000 miles this year when it's fixed it's gone. 2 gen. time.
Stoopidd Posted September 20, 2009 #17 Posted September 20, 2009 I live 70 miles from work, and when the van pool isn't running (weekends), I take the TD. Today, after going over the hill on the 138, heading to I-15, I was startled (understatement) by thunder, or so I thought. It kept going, and I finally saw the F-18 passing low and fast. I started to relax, when his partner came by, too. Startled? I almost had to clean my pants. After having spent the last 14 years helping to build them, once I got over the initial embarrassment, I was so proud to have been a part of the team that put them together.
Rocket Posted September 20, 2009 #18 Posted September 20, 2009 On the date this thread was started, I rode from Cody WY, through Montana to Taber Alberta. I was wearing my mesh jacket too, what nice weather for the trip.

PS there were two other ventures there, a 1st gen belonging to a forum member, and a second gen

Hazenson Posted September 20, 2009 #25 Posted September 20, 2009 Yesterday we put about 300 miles on the bike, went to Traverse City Mi. to a corn maze- was kinda cool http://www.jacobs-corn-maze.com/corn_maze_fun.htm after that we went to the local Hooters for some wings. On the way we passed a giant field of pumkins. So we decided to try out our new trailer and went back up today for a few. actually this link has last years maze picture in it-- This year was 2 eagles http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v405/Hazenson/th_100_3566.jpg Trailer handled flawlessly, even tho these are all pretty good size, and musta weighed a lil bit
