Can anyone recommend a good dealer in the North Atlanta area to do warranty service work? I know of Lawrenceville Honda Yamaha, Cycle Nation of Canton, and Motions (in Marietta). I've visited them all in the past, and they all seemed nice, but I've never done service business with any, and the Lawrenceville store has a number of negative reviews online.

We just bought an '06 Venture that has a problem with the radio (no lights or display whatsoever) and I'd like to get it looked at and fixed as a warranty item. The previous owner said his dealer told him the radio isn't covered under warranty, even though the owner's manual explicitly states that it is. I'm looking for a dealer with a good service department that won't give me grief about the warranty.

When I was in North Augusta, I had the chance to use the services of

STREET & TRAIL YAMAHA

4277 WASHINGTON RD

EVANS, GA 30809-3055

Ph: 706-868-5050 http://www.starmotorcycles.com/assets/common/blank.gif

They were great, took care of my problem, which should not have been problem if my selling dealer would have been up to date.

Give them a try if want to ride up there.

I deal it Bartow, on main St. in Cartersville. They'va always been good and when I took it in for service the first time (didn't buy it there), the mechanice came over intreduced himself, and let me know he went to a company school and was certified on Ventures!

I'm in Northeast Atlanta, and don't want to travel too far, as it would be a 2-way trip to drop off the bike and another to pick it up. That would be the minimum, if it's fixed the first go around. Blue Ridge and Augusta would be a bit far. Randy, have you used the service department of Moto400?

I was hoping the Atlanta folks could give positive or negative feedback on the dealers in the area (the North side of Atlanta) based on their personal experiences, specifically the service departments.

I drove to Cycle Nation in Canton today and was impressed. They bought Suzuki Yamaha Kawasaki of Canton a couple of years ago, who I previously did a lot of business with and were wonderful. Looks like Bartow Powersports is about the same distance from me as Cycle Nation.

Millinuem Cycles on Hwy 78 near Stone mountain Harley is a Yamaha dealer. Although I haven't had any work done there a friend of mine just had his carbs fixed where Doraville cycles had screwed them up. As far as I know they do good work. My friend didn't have any complaints. I wish I could help you more. IO ride a first gen and do all of my own work. Blackjack could probably tell you more. He's friends with the owner. I specifically would not recommend lawrenceville Honda/Yamaha, Rockdale Cycles, Or Doraville Cycles.

I used Moto400 for my 600 mile service back in April. Price seemed fair. I haven't had anything complicated done there. I'll probably go back if I need a service department. Conveniently, Moto400 sells & services Yamaha, Suzuki, and Triumph, the 3 bikes I have.

There's also a Honda-Yamaha dealer in Gainesville, I haven't had any service done there, but they are a large dealer.
