Sorry to keep coming to you guys..........I ain't electrically inclined. I am in the process of installing passing lights and mount on my 2004 Venture R/S. Does the turn signal wires connect in the fairing? I know I connect them to the lower portion of the mounting but I am trying to disconnect the turn signals and just removing the bolts, etc from the turn signal mount doesn't do the job. Where do you disconnect the wiring?

I'll probably be back to ask another question but this will get me started. Thanks.

Just inside the fairing.

The passing light mount should come with wires to extend the current wiring.

you should coat the connectors with dielectric grease to keep them from corroding and causing issues later.

I put the fairing back on and did not grease the connectors. As well, I had to do some trim work on the bottom of the fairing to make it fit. I went on a PGR mission and the lights didn't fall off and they still work so I guess its okay. I still have to figure out how to put the lower wind fairing back on; I don't have anything to bolt to. Just another challenge for someone on SS and fixed income.
