BIG TOM Posted September 18, 2009 #52 Posted September 18, 2009 I call mine.... errr...TATERS bike "THE SILVER BEAST" because when I first got her..she was and needed some tamming...... after three years ,she's still called the silver beast...lol ....but, in a loving kind of way..:fnd_(16):
Stoutman Posted September 18, 2009 #53 Posted September 18, 2009 (edited) I call mine the Yamahawg. I do like Tony's pick of "the Mistress". It kind of fits... always ready and willing, never has a headache, good for long stretches in the saddle, and I never seem to mind the maintenance. I also enjoy buying the shiney stuff for her. Kind of wish I had thought of that first. Here's to our wives and sweethearts, may they never meet. Edited September 18, 2009 by Stoutman
stardbog Posted September 18, 2009 #54 Posted September 18, 2009 My Ex RSV was Micika The Mule Stratoliner is Madona ( Cuz of that Madona Bra turn signals )
irydasteelhorse Posted September 18, 2009 #56 Posted September 18, 2009 my 77 hot rod wing is named after my dad. it also says "for dad" on the top of the tank.......it was given to me as a pile of parts the day before his funeral, so i thought it fitting.....and i built the whole thing up with cues from his life. 39 ford teardrop taillight, behive signals, visors on all the lights, 108 hp at the wheel, and john deere yellow...........
DragonRider Posted September 18, 2009 #58 Posted September 18, 2009 Was calling her the Black Beast, but since she is getting a facelift I will have to change that to something more appropriate..........My VStar 1300 is just "V"
BOO Posted September 18, 2009 #59 Posted September 18, 2009 One of the blue ones I had I called "Blue". Pretty original huh? I'm not big on naming things like bikes but I usually got my bike "Her", the wife calls it "The Bike". One thing constant about of the bikes I have and have had when I walk past them I lovingly pat them on the "Seat" and smile. BOO
BoomerCPO Posted September 19, 2009 #60 Posted September 19, 2009 "The Black Stallion". Boomer......who thought of naming the scoot the Black Gorilla but did not feel like Super Gluing HAIR all over the bike.
BradT Posted September 19, 2009 #61 Posted September 19, 2009 Never got a name for the 92. What do you mean, you called it "The 92" Sounds like a name to me. Brad
Mariner Fan Posted September 19, 2009 #62 Posted September 19, 2009 I normally call it "The Bike" but I have referred to it as the "Road Sofa". It's a good thing!
1rooster Posted September 19, 2009 #63 Posted September 19, 2009 The 99...Buford The 86...BJ=Buford Junior The 84...Pugley
silverdeer0454 Posted September 19, 2009 #64 Posted September 19, 2009 My future wife is a fan of "Twilight" (the vampire movie) and she named the bike "Bella"

old hippy Posted September 19, 2009 #67 Posted September 19, 2009 Nance56 and I have had two girls, Lucille and Maggie Mae. Lucille was the 88 that I got hit on and Maggie Mae is the 92.
Skid Posted September 19, 2009 #68 Posted September 19, 2009 (edited) The '86 is Brown Sugar the '02 is MidNight... Edited September 19, 2009 by Skid
CMIKE Posted September 19, 2009 #69 Posted September 19, 2009 See the signature... When went to pick it up in Kentucky and they rolled it out of that warehouse in the back...we could see it from a distance across the parking lot...Black Betty the song came to mind immediately. Kinda stuck.
Squeeze Posted September 19, 2009 #70 Posted September 19, 2009 I might explain that before coming to the Point ... In Germany, 1500cc Gold Wings are often called "3-Room, Kitchen, one Bathroom" (translated to english), the 1800cc Wings are reffered to with "Air conditioned, 3Room, Kitchen, one Bathroom with Microwave Oven". Since the '93 VR is not that decked out like a GW, i call mine "Schrankwand". There's no a good Translation carring the Humor inside, but in english this would be "Living Room Wall Unit". My '99 has no real Name, maybe just "the Max". The '09 Max is named "Taxpayer's Revenge".
PBJ Posted September 19, 2009 #71 Posted September 19, 2009 (edited) My 84 Honda V65 Sabre is called "Trollsabre'. It's big powerful and ugly. My 79 Yamaha XS1100 is "Wretched XS' because its so friggin torquey, the sidecar attached to "Wretched XS" is "XS Baggage". Finally my 85 venture I presently call "Weeble" because of a weaveing it does when Rawhides nort riding with me. Apparently "Weeble" doesn't like me riding her with out my Lady . "Weeble" woobles but she don't fall down. Edited September 20, 2009 by PB&J
Ndiaz Posted September 19, 2009 #72 Posted September 19, 2009 My 1988 Venture Royale is "Moby Dick." The Great White Whale. Nick Diaz Middletown, MD
painterman67 Posted September 20, 2009 #73 Posted September 20, 2009 The first thing I thought off when I picked her up was she was close to the color I had a 73 cutlass supreme painted. Brandy Wine burgandy. So brandy has been saddled on the old girl ever since then. Daviod
Oldseadog Posted September 20, 2009 #74 Posted September 20, 2009 I usually refer to her as the big compfy couch. I think that came from the MST course I took when asked I said I had an 84 Venture and the instructor (a sport bike rider) called it a couch and I said it was a compfy couch, the name seems to have stuck.
cimmer Posted September 20, 2009 #75 Posted September 20, 2009 I call my 89 Venture Royale "The Mistress" cause she is always willing, doesnt complain, etc etc.. Rick F.
