Venturous Randy Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 At the 1st Vogal, when I met these guys for the 1st time, we had a discussion and someone suggested "Purple Haze", but even though it fit, I never got into it. When I did a repaint a couple of years ago, I noticed that one of the names for the same color was "Twilight Royal Plum", so I am thinking more along the lines of "Plum Crazy" or "Plum Wild" and it would really fit either one. Good question Kevin. RandyA
frankc Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 For me........I call her " V ". Got the wife saying it too! Imagine that.
rosebud Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 We call the venture the New Truck. When Phil bought it he told the guys he worked with that I told him he should buy a new truck and the VR is what he came home with. The name has stuck.
FJR Rider Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 "Hers" (RSV -- I have to operate it for Cathy's pleasure), and "Mine" (the FJR).
yamadawg Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Wow! Some really great names for your bikes. Some humourous, some touching, but all thoughtful. I hope to hear more! Well, it's almost time to finish packing and paddle the bike to Chattanooga for the Trail of Tears. :250:Nothing like a flood watch to make the ride exciting, huh? Please keep the names coming... Don
KiteSquid Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 My Harley-Davidson I call "The Pan Head" and my RSV I call "The bike" BTW, does anybody want to buy my Pan Head?
Leadwolf56 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 My 06 RSV is "Midnite Cherri" as she has Midnite seats on a Black Cherry. Sue's 2000 Honda Shadow ACE 750 has been named "Stella".
