SilvrT Posted September 18, 2009 #1 Posted September 18, 2009 Anyone using Castrol Grand Prix 4 stroke motorcycle oil 10w40? I can't find anywhere that it states it's compatible with wet clutch (although I have no doubt it is). This is not the synthetic one.
Ozlander Posted September 18, 2009 #2 Posted September 18, 2009 How could it be motorcycle and not be compatible with wet clutches? Castrol Syntec is compatible and I'm sure Grand Prix 4 stroke is.
buddy Posted September 18, 2009 #3 Posted September 18, 2009 Just hear say, But I been told by a couple of parts houses its regular 10W40 motor oil with a motorcycle label stuck on it and you pay extra for the stuff go figure. Guys I know who use it never had any problems. One of them use what ever walmart has on sell does not matter what brand it is he puts it in his Yamaha 1100 bike with over 110,000+ miles with no problems.

jlh3rd Posted September 18, 2009 #5 Posted September 18, 2009 i thought that if the label doesn't have the energy conserving emblem on it, then it is ok for wet clutches....
