widowmaker2011 Posted September 18, 2009 #1 Posted September 18, 2009 Picked up my new 09 today and rode her 80 miles home , I've been on a competitors model since I sold my 04 RSV in 2005 What a joy to get back in the saddle of an RSV. I put 13,000 miles on my last one (please don't ask why I sold it , I really don't know) ... 4 years later it was like I never was without it , now on to breaking it in..
Guest tx2sturgis Posted September 18, 2009 #2 Posted September 18, 2009 (edited) I saw one of the new Red and Black 09's at the local dealer and I LOVE that particular color combination...same color as my last 2 Harleys... Only problem is all the turned heads around you while riding! Edited September 18, 2009 by tx2sturgis
distancerider Posted September 18, 2009 #5 Posted September 18, 2009 Very nice, how many times have gone out to the garage and looked again??

widowmaker2011 Posted September 18, 2009 Author #7 Posted September 18, 2009 Very nice, how many times have gone out to the garage and looked again?? My wife just saw this post and cracked up , she said I need to be honest... 5 times so far. And each time it was covered and had to be uncovered.
Lone Eagle Posted September 18, 2009 #8 Posted September 18, 2009 Congrats on the new bike - beautiful color combo. AND, you will be uncovering that bike many more times.....:rotf:

Yama Mama Posted September 18, 2009 #12 Posted September 18, 2009 That is BEAUTIFUL! Ride safe and enjoy every mile of the ride! Yama Mama:15_9_28[1]:
Wolf Posted September 18, 2009 #13 Posted September 18, 2009 (edited) I bought the same one 4 months ago. My first full on touring model, now I am ruined from anything else. I never would have guessed that a radio and cruise control would make such a difference! I have added a clearview windshield with the goldwing vent and a Corbin seat with back rest. Plus other goodies that the wife thinks came on the bike.... All in all my favorite bike I've ever owned. 8,000 miles to date, and I am hoping to get another 3k on it this year. BTWI got rid of the stock 404's and put on the Avon Venoms, got rid of sooo many problems! Awesome forums and member site IMO! Edited September 18, 2009 by Wolf add to
Bret in Houston Posted September 18, 2009 #14 Posted September 18, 2009 Beautiful Scoot, Just one question are you going to replace the cassette with an 8Track? No really that is a beautiful looking ride. Keep the shiny side up.
Yammer Dan Posted September 18, 2009 #15 Posted September 18, 2009 Sure is Sharp!! Now about keeping up with the 1st Gens. When we get to the Dairy Queen we will stop and wait on you... GREAT LOOKING SCOOT!!
loehring Posted September 18, 2009 #16 Posted September 18, 2009 When I first heard the color scheme I didn't think it would look good. Then a friend of mine bought one and I was really impressed. It looks great. (Of coarse being a Falcon fan I guess I should think anything red and black would look great.)
Whyner Posted September 18, 2009 #17 Posted September 18, 2009 Have the same exact bike - picked it up last November and have nearly 8000 miles on it already. Added a tach and a couple of other small items - now looking to do more. The color scheme is awesome - be prepared for perfect stangers coming up and asking about the bike, happens on every ride even if I'm just filling the tank at a gas station.
BIG TOM Posted September 19, 2009 #18 Posted September 19, 2009 Sure is Sharp!! Now about keeping up with the 1st Gens. When we get to the Dairy Queen we will stop and wait on you... GREAT LOOKING SCOOT!! I'm told "everything" you do is fast and quick...
