m74cran Posted September 17, 2009 #1 Posted September 17, 2009 Just recently I was rearend and totalled my boulvard, and man am I going through withdrals, while talking to my neighbor with the "Goat path" he turned me on to the rsv, I have to say this is a great site, while I was reading about windsheids I got to thinking, I leave at 5 am and it can be cold and I hate cold wind in the morning, but on my way home it is nice to have the wind in my face, has anyone contemplated connecting a cager window motor to thier windsheild and having the best of both worlds?
Dano Posted September 17, 2009 #2 Posted September 17, 2009 Not to be mean, and we'd like ya to stick around, but them there Victory Visions have that. If you wanna drive Bozo the clown around town, that is. I don't think anyone has contemplated that here. An interesting thought. Discussion continue
RandyR Posted September 17, 2009 #3 Posted September 17, 2009 My ex-BMW K1100 had an electric windshield. I loved it. I think the best you're going to do on the RSV is get a windshield with an adjustable vent in it, and adjustable lower deflectors which could channel in air.
pegscraper Posted September 17, 2009 #4 Posted September 17, 2009 I've contemplated it, but haven't come up with any practical ideas. The best sounding idea I've had is to use the pieces and parts from an FJR somehow, which has an adjustable windshield. But that's all the farther I've gotten with it.
lonestarmedic Posted September 17, 2009 #5 Posted September 17, 2009 Also, the Honda Goldwing has a manually adjustable windshield. Not quite as nice as electric but has 2 levers and ratchets up and down. I don't think there is quite enough room inside a 2nd Gen fairing to house the mechanism and make it safe. Oh Dano- I guess I may have to change my screen name. I am considering purchasing one o dem dere Bozo bikes. How does BozoMedic work for you? JB
gunboat Posted September 17, 2009 #6 Posted September 17, 2009 jb i like the sound of BOZOMEDIC got a ring to it.:crackup::crackup::stickpoke: don c.
Dano Posted September 17, 2009 #7 Posted September 17, 2009 Oh Dano- I guess I may have to change my screen name. I am considering purchasing one o dem dere Bozo bikes. How does BozoMedic work for you? JB Well, as long as you ascribe to Timothy Learys diatribe and lifestyle, you should get along just great! LOL:240: Just kiddin'. If that's what you like, go for it! BTW, I like the new name!
lonestarmedic Posted September 17, 2009 #8 Posted September 17, 2009 Yup let me stick this here needle in ya. Honk Honk. Nah, I think I'll stik to what I got. However, if I get the Vision, I may spring for a plate something like "Area51". Don - Shaddup over there!!! JB
Dano Posted September 17, 2009 #9 Posted September 17, 2009 Have you ever stood in front of a Vision and looked at the front end? That's where I get my statement from. Kinda like Bozo on LSD!
Dano Posted September 17, 2009 #11 Posted September 17, 2009 Wow. Now I gotta try to go to bed and sleep? There'll be nightmares all night!
