Radio cutting out

My radio is cutting out badly but I cant find anything wrong any suggestions?

Have you checked the squelch on your CB? If it is set too low, you will pick up transmissions and the radio goes out when that happens. Try setting it all the way up to max on the squelch.

WOW I went out and checked the cb and sure enough on the right chanel they were breaking in. Thanks for the help

Could this be a problem even if the CB is off?? I have been loosing my XM radio, thought at first it was the power plug, but after watching the radio, its not loosing power, just the sound, only last a few seconds then comes back on..

No, it wouldn't cause it if the CB was off. XM will lose the signal sometimes if there is heavy tree cover or bluffs alongside the road.
