The last time I tried Google, it showed a vacant field where my house is. I don't know if they have updated their maps or now. I just tried Live Earth though and it is showing pictures within the last couple of years. Here is the one of my place. Luckily it was taken while those pond monsters were present. :)

Dang, that pond looks bigger than my house and yard. It even has a dock!

Nice place. Eventually I'll have a place with lots of room. Then I'll make sure to put a fence around the pond. :rasberry:

Nice place, Freebird! That ain't no pond, that's a lake!

I keep telling Juggler that we need to paint a big smiley face on our roof.

Juggler is more of an entrepreneur and thinks we should rent out the roof as advertising space. :D

My apartments, which are now 4 years old also do not appear. Just shows a vacant area. Wish that theory would apply to some of the neighborhood around here.

Don, now I understand why your equipment goes into the pond!!!! You are trying to use that ramp in the pond to jump - ala Evil Kneivel - to the other side :rotf::rotf:. You need to build up a better angle :rotf::rotf:

Great looking place.

Of all the "earth" programs I have looked at for my area, all appear to be from 5 to 8 years old. Weather.com now has an interactive program that also includes satellite pictures and it is even that old. I wish they were a little more current.

I agree. I also see that they are NOT all using the same images. This Virtual Earth is the first one I've seen that shows my house. Google Earth still shows a vacant field. On the other hand, Google Earth does show my previous house in Dallas but Virtual Earth doesn't. The image that Google shows for the Dallas house is not nearly as good as this one though.

OK...I stand corrected. I just looked again. They both show pretty much the same image of the house in Dallas but Google still doesn't show the house in Ohio.
