eazyduzzit Posted September 13, 2009 #1 Posted September 13, 2009 If you were on a first generation today at Biker Rags in Knoxville, you left your headlight on.
RandyR Posted September 13, 2009 #2 Posted September 13, 2009 He may know it by now... Or maybe not if nothing happens when he turns the key on...
eazyduzzit Posted September 14, 2009 Author #3 Posted September 14, 2009 Yeah, he got it started alright. They were having a swap meet, so there tons of people there. As soon as my wife and I got off my bike, I noticed the Venture with the headlight on. All I could do was look for someone without a Harley tee shirt on. Before we left, I looked to see if it was still there but it was gone.
camos Posted September 14, 2009 #4 Posted September 14, 2009 If you were on a first generation today at Biker Rags in Knoxville, you left your headlight on. Other than turning the ignition on after shutting down the engine, how does a headlight get left on by accident?
KarlS Posted September 14, 2009 #5 Posted September 14, 2009 Other than turning the ignition on after shutting down the engine, how does a headlight get left on by accident? On my 83VR if you turn the key to far to the left when locking the forks it will turn on the headlight and tail lights. Learned that the hard way.
camos Posted September 14, 2009 #6 Posted September 14, 2009 Isn't that a bit odd? Haven't looked on my VR yet but I thought turning to the far left just turned on the parking lights/turn signals not the headlight. That is what happens on my Virago and just kinda assumed it would be the same on the VR.
friesman Posted September 14, 2009 #7 Posted September 14, 2009 My 85 VR only turns on the park lights front and rear when the key is turned all the way to the left. Brian
