I'm looking for a good service manual. I've found clymer and the factory one. What one would be more practical for home use. I'm not going to tear my venture down and rebuild it, just do the basic stuff. I'm also adding some LED lights to it and maybe a louder horn. Maybe a running light kit also..

The factory shop manual works, but it is FULL of errors - not for the faint of heart or inexperienced mechanic. You have to have enough experience to recognize when something doesn't seem right and dig deeper to find the errors.

And for the types of things you said you want to do, I don't think it will actually provide any value at all. But it is a free download here, so you should probably have it available anyway. It does have a full schematic, but it, too, has errors, and it is very difficult to read due to lack of proper information. :080402gudl_prv:

I think this site is a far more practical guide on how to do what you are suggesting. There are excellent posts on adding an air horn, for example. The manuals I have seen are of no value for doing that.

Start with doing a search, and if you can't find what you want, ask in the appropriate technical sections.

You might also consider coming to maintenance days, where people from here will show you how to do some of what you want.

Just my opinion, but this site rocks.
