Here's a couple of ideas for rideins/M&E's;

Annual Angola State Prison Rodeo, St Francisville, LA.. Every Sunday in October. (WOW!, These cowboys got nothing to lose, a day in the infirmary beats a day in the fields). angolarodeo.com

Louisiana Renaissance Festival, Hammond, LA. Every weekend Nov. 7 - Dec. 13. (A large medieval village, entetainment, food, festivities.

You might want to check out the Gretna Festival on the West Bank of New Orleans. Outdoor concerts are excellent. 3 Day festival, $10 a day or $25 for the weekend. Lots of carnie food, local fund raisers selling food, and a few good local restaurants inside the Festival area. It is growing every year, not as big as the Jazz Fest but much better prices.

Line up includes National Bands: Chicago, Kool and the Gang, Los Lobos, The Guess Who, Better Than Ezra, Joe Dee Messina. Regional Bands: Alan Toussaint, Dash Rip Rock, Cowboy Mouth, Louie Prima, Jr., Clarence Carter, The TopCats, Rocking Doopsie, J.J. Muggler, Frankie Ford.

Lots of free parking too.

Check the site.
