BigBoyinMS Posted September 11, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 11, 2009 I just put the Louisiana Renaissance Festival on my calendar for the 15th of Nov... and I may even be able to make it! Looks like a good time and darn good food, too!
jvbailey3 Posted September 11, 2009 Share #3 Posted September 11, 2009 You might want to check out the Gretna Festival on the West Bank of New Orleans. Outdoor concerts are excellent. 3 Day festival, $10 a day or $25 for the weekend. Lots of carnie food, local fund raisers selling food, and a few good local restaurants inside the Festival area. It is growing every year, not as big as the Jazz Fest but much better prices. Line up includes National Bands: Chicago, Kool and the Gang, Los Lobos, The Guess Who, Better Than Ezra, Joe Dee Messina. Regional Bands: Alan Toussaint, Dash Rip Rock, Cowboy Mouth, Louie Prima, Jr., Clarence Carter, The TopCats, Rocking Doopsie, J.J. Muggler, Frankie Ford. Lots of free parking too. Check the site. http://www.gretnafest.com/:banana::cool10:
