tvking63 Posted September 7, 2009 #1 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Is there a chart or list somewhere that shows what models numbers have what equipment and what year they are? I searching I found [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24554]this[/ame] , but it doesn't address the model numbers. The title says my 84 is a XVZ12DL, but the 83-84 shop manual lists an L, KCZ, DL, DKCZ, TDK and a TK with no explanation of what those model numbers mean or what the differences are. http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/style_emoticons/22306set/eusa_think.gif Edit: I just saw mention of KC2 and a DKC2 as well. MiCarl Posted September 7, 2009 #2 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) You have an XVZ12. Royale - D Model Year 1984 - L XVZ12DL If it was a California model it would be XVZ12DLC The DK should be an 83, and DKC should be 83 Califorina. Not sure about the other designations, but at a glance they appear to be non-US models. You need to be careful with the manuals as they often cover multiple years and models. You need to have a close look at the supplements to make sure there isn't information for your year and model there that overrules the bulk of the manual. In the supplements there should be a model identification section that will let you be sure you have the correct info. Edited September 7, 2009 by MiCarl
