Wanderer Posted September 7, 2009 #1 Posted September 7, 2009 This gives new meaning to "stuck at home": From my visit to the Huntsville Meet and Eat on Saturday 5 Sep 09, I rode the 4 hours up mostly in the rain. I rode the 4 hours back always in the rain and I guess it never stopped raining at my house and this is the result on my return. I'm flipping stuck! http://lh4.ggpht.com/_xOOWRVc9-a4/SqUmjeahi_I/AAAAAAAAA1Q/29--PzI1mrc/s640/0905091821.jpg http://lh3.ggpht.com/_xOOWRVc9-a4/SqUmjlAfO_I/AAAAAAAAA1U/0_vbCFWQUI0/s640/0905091822.jpg http://lh5.ggpht.com/_xOOWRVc9-a4/SqUmjtWxjEI/AAAAAAAAA1Y/OuVOQcgZ4HI/s640/0905091822a.jpg I gradually dug my way out in about 45 minutes. Just thought you might find this interesting. Can't remember when I've had more fun.
Wanderer Posted September 7, 2009 Author #3 Posted September 7, 2009 Yeah, and about 3 hours of washing the most of the mud off.
DragonRider Posted September 7, 2009 #4 Posted September 7, 2009 Food must have been really good.........you ate way too much, and lots of ice cream too I bet................next time show a little restraint when it comes to the ice cream........and you might make it through the yard.. You're right, but I worked a lot of it off digging out.
Yammer Dan Posted September 7, 2009 #8 Posted September 7, 2009 Used to park those 650's & 750's like that in the sand when I went to the beach. But not quite as hard to get out. Little push and off you go!!
Wanderer Posted September 7, 2009 Author #9 Posted September 7, 2009 Used to park those 650's & 750's like that in the sand when I went to the beach. But not quite as hard to get out. Little push and off you go!! I tried pushing, but every time I got up to give it a push, I had no traction at all. So I'd dig down below the tire stick my 18" long 1x4 under it and after about 10 feet I got it out. I thought about having the wife pull me with her car and a rope I had, but I know her too well to have taken that chance.
N3FOL Posted September 7, 2009 #10 Posted September 7, 2009 I try to stay away from unpaved road. The bike is very heavy...at work in our other facility and if parked all day on a hot sunny day, the kick stand would go down on the asphalt. Glad you did not drop it.

Actually, I got some of the mud off. I'm gonna finish the job during the next big rain. I was thinking when I got stuck, I wished I had the red/black one and it wouldn't have happened. But alas, you got the only one in the whole country. CYA soon. Maybe Rome??
Guest scarylarry Posted September 7, 2009 #14 Posted September 7, 2009 But alas, you got the only one in the whole country. Yes I am.... I would love to my friend but we are heading to St. Judes and on to Tunica.. The next for sure my friend...

Actually, because it was late when I returned and it was going to be the following day before I got it unstuck I did put the kickstand down just to keep it from sinking any further during the night.
