Guest Vermincelli Posted September 22, 2007 #1 Posted September 22, 2007 For the last few days I've had the constant rumbling of Harleys all over town as riders have been rolling in for Street Vibrations up in Reno as well as the big thing down here in Carson City at their Harley shop (and Virginia City for theirs) but woke up this morning to head into work, opened the door and right into a wall of rain and about 45 degrees. Lots of soaked riders out and about though. Hopefully the rain will pass but looks like it's in waves right now. clouds, sun, clouds. Lows tonight are going to be at or near freezing as well but supposedly (and I say that with a smirk) it will be partly cloudy tomorrow but this is the High Desert so you can't really tell without first sticking your head outside. Possible snow at the higher elevations (mountain passes). Just a head's up if anyone is heading over.
Lone Eagle Posted September 22, 2007 #2 Posted September 22, 2007 Todd, thanks for the update. This uncertain weather made us cancel our weekend trip to Eureka/Susnaville/Reno. Went to Vibes yesterday - was a nice rally - tons of vendors - wonder if the street vendors were able to relocate inside? Hate to see all the vendors chrome get spots ,. We'll have to try and hook up at another time. It's been pouring down here - but the rain has stopped for a bit. Have a good one.
Guest Vermincelli Posted September 22, 2007 #3 Posted September 22, 2007 The clouds are trying to break up now. Forecast is for cloudy now and tomorrow partly cloudy with a high around 65 but still cold tonight and tomorrow. One of the bad things about this area is that when the weather changes to even a chance of storms, the mountains and lake tahoe play havoc with forecasting.
