mini-muffin Posted September 4, 2009 #1 Posted September 4, 2009 Ok this is for all the folks that asked for Muffinman's mailing address. He's going to be moving, but it should be about a week or so. So if you were planning on mailing anything you might want to do that by tuesday the latest. He said they have a plane that should take about 8 days to get done then there suppose to move. From what he's told me the move will take him to tk I have no idea exactly where that is. He said he heard it's up by Kabul. So the only major change to his address at that time will be his zip code. I'll let you all know what that is when I find out. I have to get the stuff together for his next package. He keeps sending me lists of stuff. Some of which I have no idea what they are and have to look them up so I have at least a pic to go by. So I'll let you all know when I do. OH and in case I didn't mention it thanks. Margaret

They have to move they were told if they didn't they could go home. Seems that DC wants to cut the contractors. Not sure how that's gonna work with what Jeff does. Since they cut the military size for so long we don't have enough folks to send over to do those jobs. But that's typical politics. I'll let you all know when he moves. Margaret

They are now talking that the move they are suppose to make won't happen till Nov. Not sure why they are even bothering at this point. They've been talking about moving them since almost the day they got there. He's still in the tent and at this point he'd rather stay there. The dorm room that has a vacancy has some guys in it that think the rules don't apply to them. They seem to like to blast their radio no matter what time of night it is. Jeff wouldn't do too good in that sort of a place. There would definitely be big problems. Not sure why you go into a war zone and think you should be able to do what you did at home. Guess they have no consideration for the rest of the folks that are there. The guys work 12hr days 7 days a week. They have the day shift and the night shift. So the places where these guys sleep need to be quiet, or at least within reason in a war zone. He's in the tent with the Canadians and he'd rather stay there. Besides I send all sorts of goodies to him in his packages. I know he's shared some of it with some of the guys over there. Well just thought I'd update everyone on him. Oh he evidently is shaving his head, guess that makes keeping your hair clean no problem. Margaret

You will always have a few people like that that have no consideration for others. Hard to deal with. I won't tell you how I did it. So now they know unless they change their minds he'll be changing bases. As soon as I get the new zip code I'll let you all know. The rest of the address stays the same just a zip change. Margaret
