Does anyone know if you can test the cruise control wires and various switches through the socket that plugs into the the crusie control brain. Using either a voltmeter or 12 volt test light?

What is wrong with your cruz control ? If its disconnecting, check the Disengage Switch at the clutch lever. Thats the main trouble spot.

 

With a Volt/Ohm meter, you can test any electrical circuit. Yes, is answer to your question. But you need the Schematic, to work from.

Powers up all lights try to set it nothing but power light, set does light does not activate nor does cruise control activate, pump works in testing. Now i have taken the switches apart they dont look great inside. I ended up screwing up the plastic to the cancel switch which is attached to the wires. Does anyone know what color wires go to what switch?

I get no flashing lights if I disconnect pump it flashes, if I disconnect cruise brain no flashes.
