MiCarl Posted September 1, 2009 #3 Posted September 1, 2009 I'm just glad I made it through August without turning the furnace on............
BoomerCPO Posted September 1, 2009 #4 Posted September 1, 2009 Night temps are low enough here that we already have the Amish quilts out and on the beds. Boomer.....who has two words for Mother Nature and it is not Merry Christmas.
Renne Posted September 1, 2009 #5 Posted September 1, 2009 And this "Global Warming" thing, something I have to worry about? Don't think so. RENNE
edger Posted September 1, 2009 #6 Posted September 1, 2009 Yep, cloudy wet and cold. Story of our entire August. Normally what is a very hot season around here has turned out to be a dissapointment. I think mother nature is confused as to the time of year. Maybe it just means that fall wont be as warm but will last a lot longer. You suppose???? One can always dream.
GeorgeS Posted September 1, 2009 #7 Posted September 1, 2009 Its pretty HOT in Los Angeles today !! Check the Cable networks
Bubber Posted September 1, 2009 #8 Posted September 1, 2009 As they say "It is colder than a well digger's nose in January " Steve
BoomerCPO Posted September 1, 2009 #11 Posted September 1, 2009 How's 36 F sound Sounds like Hot Toddy Time.............. Boomer.....who survives every Winter because of Hot Toddy's.
Iowa Guy Posted September 1, 2009 #12 Posted September 1, 2009 46 degrees in SE Iowa this morning and I officially switched to my flannel night shirt for the season last night. Iowa Guy
Venturous Randy Posted September 1, 2009 #13 Posted September 1, 2009 I think our July was the 4th coolest and wettest on modern record. I don't know about August yet. I have not heard much from Brother Al lately. Just heard discussion on the radio at lunch about this Cap & Trade thing may make the TVA electricity rates go up 80% in the near future. That should help the job situation around here. RandyA
BoomerCPO Posted September 1, 2009 #14 Posted September 1, 2009 46 degrees in SE Iowa this morning and I officially switched to my flannel night shirt for the season last night. Iowa Guy Keep yer eyeballs peeled on Cabella's.....they are gonna be launching a big sale on flannel shirts this month. Boomer..........who knows worn out flannel shirts are great for polishing chrome and make great handkerchiefs too.
LilBeaver Posted September 1, 2009 #15 Posted September 1, 2009 OOOoooo yea it is cooling off. The low tonight is 62!
