Freebird Posted August 30, 2009 #1 Posted August 30, 2009 OK folks. Finally got around to taking a couple of pictures of our new Mascot. She is doing very well. Acts like she has been here forever and seems happy to have a good home. Goes to the vet on Wednesday for a good checkup but all is well so far. Here she is sporting her new VentureRider bell. Not 100% sure on a name yet but it looks like Eileen is leaning towards Lucy or Annie.
Venturous Randy Posted August 30, 2009 #2 Posted August 30, 2009 Great! Looks like you could name her "Goldie" as so many 1st gens are named. RandyA
DragonRider Posted August 30, 2009 #3 Posted August 30, 2009 She has a lot of property to roam on at your place...................she is a cutie, I can see why Eileen wanted to go back and get her..................
Dano Posted August 30, 2009 #4 Posted August 30, 2009 She looks pretty good all cleaned up. Always nice to have another member in the household! Have you started the training for Pond Monster detection yet?
Steve S Posted August 30, 2009 #5 Posted August 30, 2009 Beautiful animal there Don. I bet it won't be long before she is ruling the roost..LOL Maybe she can do something about the pond monsters...
Yammer Dan Posted August 30, 2009 #6 Posted August 30, 2009 Yep. Looks like she is ready to take over. You had a nice run there Don!!
BoomerCPO Posted August 30, 2009 #8 Posted August 30, 2009 In the 2nd pic she has a look that sez "Let's get this camera stuff over with.":rotf: Good looking pooch for sure.....Ya might want to name her "TROUBLE". Boomer.....who knows most dogs are smarter than people....and pond monsters too.
Carbon_One Posted August 30, 2009 #9 Posted August 30, 2009 She was a really nice dog when we saw her at the Int. rally and looks even better now she's cleaned up. She'll give you guys lots of love and affection for years to come. Looking forward to seeing her at next years MD. Larry
KarlS Posted August 30, 2009 #10 Posted August 30, 2009 Well I know now I won't be able to leave my Daughter behind for your next maintenance day. She asks about that dog every day since I told her you was getting her from Arkansas.
mother Posted August 31, 2009 #11 Posted August 31, 2009 is that the same dog, wow, she is looking good? i like Annie, like little orphan Annie.
Aussie Annie Posted August 31, 2009 #12 Posted August 31, 2009 She's such a good lookin' girl what choice is there?? It has to be "Annie" :clap2: Yep, Annie is a name for good lookin' girls - ask me how I know !!
BradT Posted September 1, 2009 #13 Posted September 1, 2009 Yes she cleaned up well, lucky we didn't have the cage or she may be Canadian by now. Rhonda would have adopted. We went for Dog food and she came back with another Kitten (#3). Brad
Freebird Posted September 1, 2009 Author #14 Posted September 1, 2009 Never would have worked out. She doesn't speak Canadian. Only English and Texan.
Rocket Posted September 1, 2009 #15 Posted September 1, 2009 Never would have worked out. She doesn't speak Canadian. Only English and Texan. So she could only come to Western Canada, as in B.C. to Manitoba (excluding the greater Vancouver area).......
BradT Posted September 1, 2009 #16 Posted September 1, 2009 Never would have worked out. She doesn't speak Canadian. Only English and Texan. So she could only come to Western Canada, as in B.C. to Manitoba (excluding the greater Vancouver area)....... Maybe you are both right they speak funny out West, as well as South. Brad

1BigDog Posted September 1, 2009 #18 Posted September 1, 2009 Good looking pooch there Don. Im glad you "rescued" her.
capn eddie Posted September 1, 2009 #19 Posted September 1, 2009 I think Genny, that way she could be a mascot for a first or second gen.
bongobobny Posted September 1, 2009 #20 Posted September 1, 2009 Yup, cleaned up really good!!!!! Can't believe it's the same dog...
BigBoyinMS Posted September 1, 2009 #21 Posted September 1, 2009 Is that a riders bell on her collar? You tryin' to cut down on vet bills?
Freebird Posted September 1, 2009 Author #22 Posted September 1, 2009 Well...unless it has changed again since I left yesterday morning, it is Annie. Yes, that is a VentureRider Guardian bell. Gotta try to keep her safe.
mini-muffin Posted September 2, 2009 #23 Posted September 2, 2009 See there was another reason you and Eileen ended up going to the Hub. You had a new family member waiting for you. Margaret
Aussie Annie Posted September 2, 2009 #24 Posted September 2, 2009 :dancefool: it's "ANNIE" :dancefool: it means: "full of grace" this is the plaque I have: Annie is consistent and successful, she has great personal charm she has a style which is uniquely her own she is defensive of her ideas her reflections are often highly original, her approach to life is inquisitive she is often asked to make a decision for others she is obsessed with every aspect of life she is not one to let others down lightly she often exhibits great independence
footsie Posted September 2, 2009 #25 Posted September 2, 2009 She looks just like my wheaten terrier Sandie. He is 16 years old and still going strong. Gregg
