1st Gen. front mudflap

I've got an 86, and it looks like there used to be a mudflap on the front fender. Yamaha doesn't show it on their parts fiche as a separate item.

Anybody know where to get one?

I put one on from Drag Specialties.Looks like it was made for it.I got it for Xmas from my sister in law.I think she said she got it at a Honda dealer..

Keep an eye out for a beat up old ugly front fender with a flap on Ebay. You should be able to get it pretty cheap....

My 86 VR came with front & rear mudflaps & I love 'em, especially the front, as it really helps keep the bike cleaner.

However, I seriously doubt either one is original to the bike.

Too many of the extra parts on my scoot weren't made by Yamaha.

mine has a black plastig trim with a rubber mud flap on it.

I have one of those black plastic ones in my garage somewhere and it's in very good condition as I recall.

I took it off to put one of the chrome one's on an 89 I had.

If anyone is interested in it, let me know and I will try and find it .

That's the same as on my scoot.

Don't think I'd pay any big price if I had to replace it though.

The old 86 VR just isn't going to appreciate in value anymore.

 

It's only going to get older & the mileage will only go up.

When a scoot is over 20 years old, it's time to 'start' thinking about replacing it....in a few years.
