CrazyHorse Posted August 24, 2009 #1 Posted August 24, 2009 Ever since my crash I rebuilt the bike the right side was heavily damaged and the cruise control brain was damaged I acquired another one but it appears it doesnt work. The vacuum pump checks ok, the switches check ok. The display lights up but does not give any trouble codes. If I disconnect the vacuum pump it will give a trouble code. The light powers up and all the lights work but the cruise will not turn on at any speed. Any ideas and is there any way to check the brain box?
rjg1985 Posted August 25, 2009 #2 Posted August 25, 2009 I had the same problem with my 85. It turned out to be to much free play in the clutch lever and it was not making contact with the switch. Also make sure that the cable is connected to vacuum actuator and make sure it is not broken.
