massey130 Posted August 21, 2009 #1 Posted August 21, 2009 I had seen a pair of these nice foot pegs with Yamaha on them on ebay. they went for a good bit of money. then late (early) one night while serfing, i logged into ebay & found a new in the wrapper set. it was buy now or make offer. i made an offer. low n behold they were in my mailbox 4 days later. man, was I excited. i got to install them tonight. Please take a look at the universal ones that were on my bike when purchased and the new Yammy ones. i am happy to say i have less than 38 bucks in them with shipping and they look so much nicer than the universal pegs. now if the rain will ease up, i can test ride them!! KarlS Posted August 21, 2009 #4 Posted August 21, 2009 I bought mine for $21.99 at Rocky's a local bike parts supplier. Their on line store is Rocky's outfitters.
Guest curtismiller Posted August 21, 2009 #5 Posted August 21, 2009 I have used those type for a year and do not like them. They feel too slick and are a little to small. But I have size 13 sepatoes and that could be the reason.Hope you like yours. Curtis
calperin Posted August 21, 2009 #6 Posted August 21, 2009 I have those on my 84'VR. They already lost the shine of the chrome, but they work. Also have 13 on my shoes, so they 're small for me. Enjoy it.
jrcain32 Posted August 21, 2009 #7 Posted August 21, 2009 Hey Massey, I have a pair very similar and they work fine. If you are happy that's all that matters.
massey130 Posted August 21, 2009 Author #8 Posted August 21, 2009 thanks for the input. i may have spent a few more bucks, but at least it was not 30 or 50 bucks over paying. I may try some of the rubber sticky stuff to add some texture - did not think of the slickness. they do look nice - IMHO i have a size 8 foot at the end of a 27 inch inseam. that's why the pegs are curved inward. my heel sets on the floor board and the toe of my boot/tennis shoe rests on the peg. i use my boot to direct wind up my leg. its ok that the shine wears off, the original set had the rubber rings coming off. i would like to test them out.
