Last minute thought. Maybe you have a good area to ride.

Me and a buddy are planning on riding Thursday and Friday leaving from Fredericksburg Va. We are about 3 hours from Gettysburg or about 3 plus hours from Seneca Rocks. We have been around Snowshoe and Cass area. We have been to the bride in West Va as well. In Pa we have been to the Lancaster area and been through Gettysburg. Anyone have any good loops, roads or sites to see in one of those general areas. We figure it will be cooler in the mountains. T%hanks.

Rt. 33 west from Harrisonburg to Senaca Rocks is a great route, you can continue west on Rt. 33 to Elkins and then take Rt. 219 North to Rt. 50 toward Winchester. A lot of great riding there.

I think rt 220 in WVA and up into PA is pretty nice. Also along old Rt 40 in Maryland.

West and north of Lancaster in Lebanon County is nice - up towards Ft. Indiantown Gap, up moonshine road (no kidding, that is the name)..no shortage of nice riding roads

Tooling down Rt 441 in PA from Harrisburg to Columbia and beyond - meeting River Road on down to Peach Bottom and on and on

Thanks to all that responded. Gives us something to consider. The wife and I were heading to Shanksville this past weekend and some friends called as we were getting ready to leave Saturday morning so we ended up not going. I wouldn't mind going just trying to figure how to explain to her that I went a week late. LOL

Thanks.

Here is your Pa ride

The riders will leave Shanksville, Pa., site of the crash of Flight 93 — whose passengers regained control of the airliner from the hijackers and prevented it from being used as a suicide weapon against a target believed to have been either the White House or the U.S. Capitol — at about 7:30 a.m. Friday.

The group will come to Cumberland from Wellersburg, Pa., on state Route 36, then down Mechanic Street before turning onto Interstate 68 and arriving at the college between 9 a.m. and 9:30. After leaving Cumberland, it will go to the Pentagon in Arlington, Va., and Ground Zero in New York City.
