timgray Posted August 17, 2009 #1 Posted August 17, 2009 I found an excellent GPS for a buddy of mine for his bike. He's quite poor and cant afford a $690.00 Gps so I found him one for $60.00 that is beautiful to read in direct sunlight and at night. It's a Garmin iQue 3600. the car kit we modified to screw it to the bike's dash and it works great. He can even play mp3's on it. No the maps are not current but that does not matter to him. (Or me, I am happy with 2 year old maps) It's the cheapest GPS I could find that you can shine a 60,000,000CP flashlight at it and you can still read it. Just a tip for the poor guys out there. No it's not waterproof. it does not have XM,Sirius,Onstar, or anything else in it like that. I'm getting a second one for me and selling the current GPS I have because of it's huge screen.

Thanks for the tip Tim. Reading a GPS in direct sunlight is one of the biggest requirements if it's mounted on a bike. Otherwise using it is a PITA. Gonna have to look into this one. Where did you find it for the $60 bucks??
Yammer Dan Posted August 17, 2009 #3 Posted August 17, 2009 I don't need a GPS... I just follow Skid!! Keeps me from speeding too much (most of the time) and I usually get where I'm going.
timgray Posted August 18, 2009 Author #4 Posted August 18, 2009 They are all over Ebay, I found one with a Buy it now for $60.00. The car kit came with it. It' was a "refurb" or at least that is what the box said, they never mentioned it in the listing. I have one on it's way to me as well, I'll mount it and put up a photo.
Condor Posted August 18, 2009 #5 Posted August 18, 2009 Ebay!!! Can't believe I forgot about Ebay....
