We made it home from Vogel about 3:00, got everything unloaded but not sorted out, that will come. I just want to thank everyone who came out to support our St. Jude effort, dont have a final figure yet I will be tallying that soon and posting it.

I also want to thank all those that pitched in and helped with the rides, picking up downed bikes( only 1), carb syncs, everything mechanical, giving rides to little old ladies, not once but twice, food servers, those that donated door prizes, just a great bunch of people.,

But most of all I need to apologize to someone very special to me, I forgot to thank the most important person in my life, and that is my wife Charlene, while at the shelter I thanked a lot of people openly and forgot my loving wife, so, Thank you for all your support Charlene, I couldn't have done it without your support, I love you and thank you for putting up with me................

Lewis,

You did a good job! Thank you and your wife. Also want to thank all those who gave you a hand pulling this thing off. Not one person could have done it alone.

I had a great time, and I think I showed some of those two wheels what a three wheeler could do on the "Dragon".

Thanks to B2BomberDad for taking the "senior" ladies for a ride. I haven't seen smiles like that in a long time.

Just to let those of you that could not make it this year. A good time was had by all. Well, maybe not by all, there was one who was camping and had his helmet on his bike with his gloves. Thanks to a "local" (bear) he lost his gloves. His new name goes something like this. "Bearman who walks with a limp".

I got home early this morning. Thanks again for a great time. I'm so glad I decided to go.

The wife found the pics of my lady riders so...thanks Lewis!! LOL. I emailed the pictures to the family of those ladies. Have not received an update from them as to how they are doing. Will let you know as soon as I hear from them.

This is such a great group, I enjoyed being with everyone. See you on the ride to St. Jude.

Hi Lewis,I want to say I am sorry Craig and I had to go on ahead of the skyway ride because he had to get back to see his sister in law in the hospital at a special time for visitation.

We mad a hard push to get back to Calhoun by 3:00 so he could get to Chattanooga by 4:00. I was coming back Saturday but Craig thought he was having a heart attack early saturday morning and has been in the hospital for 2 days. He is having a stress test tomorrow on top of all the other test he has had for 2 days. It sounds like everything went great except for the rider that went down and I can't find out what happened with that so if someone can fill me in on how that person is doing.God Bless to all......Ken

Melinda and I had a great time and make it home safely. Thanks to all those who made it possible.

Atlantadragonslayer "Bob" went down on his way home about 2 1/2 miles south of Vogel in light rain. He didn't get hurt seriously other than a little road rash on his arms (which is going to be pretty sore) and it didn't do much damage to his bike. After a little first aid, he got back up on his bike and rode it home. I talked to him this evening and he is doing as well as expected. I would ask that everyone keep him in your prayers and those of us from and around Atlanta keep in touch with him and make sure he doesn't need anything.

i'm home! went down to see susan at her mom's and brought her home with me. had a great time again seeing old friends and meeting new ones. thanks to brian, rick and marilyn for letting me crash on their tent site. thanks to all that had a hand in bringing it together, mostly for the kids at st. jude's and for their benifit while dealing with the hard facts of life, that noone should have to deal with. it's always good to have fun and help others while doing it. hope to see all soon again, don.

Thanks John and those with prayers But, I'm really OK. I made it home OK and was even able to stop by the F.O.E Eagles Club for some NASCAR pizza and an adult libation which I was tempted to pour over the road rash.

There were a few ouuuues and aaaaahhhhhssssss taking a shower, washing the rash on my forearms and changing the dressings but that was short lived. toshing and turning in my sleep with apparantly a cracked or brushed rib was interesting. But, it too seems to be getting better with the aid of handfulls of Advil. It was remarkable that the damage to the bike was limited to a little extra road rash where there was already road rash on the crash bar and hyway pegs. Still thanking God for his protection.

I'm more interested in telling the story about the multiple bear attacks the night before

which I'll do under a separate thread title Heeeeeey BOOBOO,

Thank You Lewis and Charlene and all that helped, contributed, participated, attended, socialized, rode with, broke bread with and made the Vogel event so enjoyable and memorable an event...............................AGAIN.

Don't let me forget about giving credit to the Bear or Bears who added to the interesting stories that are coming out of this event.

It was great spending time with all the old friends and new friends (especially Wes who was my sidekick throughout the event) brought together by this Forum family and the events that are organized and attended by the greatest group of like minded motorcycle enthusiast I have ever known.

If you had let me know you were going to do that Bob I could have given you a few "Happy pills"
Well gee, I didn't know I was gonna do that either or I would have asked you for some of those happy pills in advance.
