Snaggletooth Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I was looking for a new cover for mine a while back but can't find the websites I looked through at the moment. I ended up checking around town to find a shop to recover it and the backrest and the average rates were about $350.00 for the seat and $150.00 for the backrest. I ended up picking up a fine condition seat for $40.00 off eBay. Had to sort though quite a few to find a good one and waited a while for a good price. If I find those listings I'll post them here later. Good luck.

hlange Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 There is a difference between early and later 1st gen seats, perhaps it is between Ventures and Royale Ventures, but I have a stock 85 seay and a stock 87 seat, both differ from the 83-84 seats I have seen. The main difference is the passenger seat but there is also a difference in the driver seat shape. I have purchased a seat cover from B&H and it will not fit. They also only list seats for 83-83 for the Venture, nothing for 86-93.

It fits, with switching the mounts around a bit, but as far as the seats themselves I can't see much differerence in the shape of the foam or cover other than the pattern in the seat material. The '83 part is listed on my sfuff as 3JJ-24730-20-00 and/or 10-00 depending on color. The '88 part number is 1NL-2477A-00-00 and they seem to cross reference to each other.
