Running Light Problem

Hi, my left front turn signal works but the left running light doesn't. I have passing lamps. I've tried replacing the bulbs, no luck. Any suggestions?

Start checking the wires. On mine, the ground wire came loose from the rivet on the inside of the housing where it was supposed to be attached. Had to fix that then it was fine. You could also have pinched a wire up around the neck, depending on how it is routed. Another spot to check is where the wires to into the driving light mounting bar. They can get worn just from vibration.

+1 to that... There are only so many places those wires go -- so if you do not see anything in either of those places, just trace them back through the bike but I suspect you will find the issue there.

 

You could check the socket for corrosion and such too, but the wires is an easy check and probably the culpret.

I cracked the fairing and it was a loose ground. Thanks again for the help.
