OldBear Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Has anyone tried the braided stainless steel brake lines on the RSV? I've got 'em on my Duck and they are FANTASTIC!! REALLY made a significant difference in brake feel...will it do the same on the Venture? Seem's to me like the brakes are a little "soft", at least compared to my old Duck or the FJR I traded for the Venture. I really like "solid" brakes. Any ideas? THANKS!

My friend has them on his bike and it's like night and day to rubber lines.. no flex.. Where did you get your lines from?
1BigDog Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Go to www.buckeyeperformance.com Rick has sets made for the RSV. Make sure you mention your a member here.....
Bvinson Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I bought my Stainless lines from http://www.hardracing.com/brakes/GalferLines.htm. They shipped straight from Galfer $169.00 + shipping.
Tartan Terror Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I love my stainless lines. Much more firm feel to the pedal and grip.
OldBear Posted August 25, 2009 Author Posted August 25, 2009 Thanks Guys, that's what I was hoping for....I know it made a difference on my old bike and I had hoped it would on the RSV. The brakes currently seem a little "soft" to me, 'course I know a 900 lb bike is harder to stop than a 400 lb one, but still....more braking ability is always good!
Steve S Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 I changed mine out 2 years ago.. I LOVE them. Much better braking control. :dancefool:
