What's up with the trunk racks?

Has Yamaha stopped making the trunk racks. Thay have been on backorder forever and I'm a little ticked off that I can't get one. (if someone has one, please email me at my "ToolmanRR" Yahoo email)

I've seen the ones that are used on the Goldwing but I'm not too crazy about the pressure point the legs put upon the lid. Has anyone had issues with the Honda trunk rack breaking a lid? Does anyone else make a rack that will work on the RSV. (I won't use JC Whittney's rack)

I have the gold wing one on my '06 RSV, regularly carry 25 lbs and no problem,

If the trunk rack is like a lot of add-on Yamaha parts, they wait until they have enough back orders to make it worth their while to manufacture them. We waited 8 months for chrome carb covers.

I have the goldwing rack also, JC Whittney, has them for $80.00 bucks or so....
