Black Owl Posted August 9, 2009 Author #9 Posted August 9, 2009 never heard of this fund. How do I donate to this cause???? David The OPE Fund (Out of Pocket Expenses) was set up to provide assistance with funding of those initial expenses associated with hosting VentureRider Rallys. Paying for patches, hall rental, etc. The receipient of the advance funding is asked to attempt to reimburse the fund from the funding generated through registration fees and/or the sale of the patches When the funding permits, it is also used to send floral arrangements to members in hospital and, when appropriate, funeral floral arrangements. The primary funding comes from the donation of any excess funds generated at VentureRally events after all expenses are covered. Member donations can also be sent to the fund either via PayPal at CFAS@Juno.com or by check payable to Russell Hicks at 185 Redwood Drive, Apple Valley, MN 55124. As a side note, the donation button referred to in the foregoing post is primarily for donations sent to Don to cover his expenses in running and maintaining the site. It was not intended to be used for donations to the OPE fund as that would be a book-keeping nightmare for Don.
