Slab Pig Posted August 8, 2009 #1 Posted August 8, 2009 July 2009, Saturday PM Gas: Otis, Grand Ronde. No construction, but with everyone and their mother trying to get out of the heat in Portland, there was a HUGE backup starting ~6 miles from the US 101 junction. This was true stop and go, with more stop than go. Try to time your run to the coast on Sun - Thur or early morning. Road in good condition with well marked sweepers, increasing in number the closer you get to the coast. Passing lanes provided in the several places. Intermittent townage with the usual reduced speed zones.
