Silver Bullet Posted August 6, 2009 #1 Posted August 6, 2009 what screws do we turn out a 1\4 turn on our carbs. and what dose it do for the bikes? I guess I'm dumber than a mud puddle.:confused24:
V7Goose Posted August 6, 2009 #2 Posted August 6, 2009 I don't know who told you to just start turning screws on your carbs, but I wouldn't suggest that at all. Goose
Pecker Posted August 6, 2009 #3 Posted August 6, 2009 It sounds like you are referring to the idle circuit mixture screws. If that is the case, that screw will either richen or lean out your idle circuit depending on which direction the screw is turned. That being said, I wouldn't suggest just randomly turning these screws without some diagnostics first. Many a carb has been screwed up by people trying to tune them without some decent knowledge of their inner workings. My suggestion would be hooking up with a member that owns a color tune kit AND knows how to use it. I am sure others here will chime in and color in the rest of the picture.
eusa1 Posted August 6, 2009 #4 Posted August 6, 2009 THE SCREWS ON YOUR TOUR PACK MOUNTS!! THAT IS IF THEY ARE A 1/4 TURN LOOSE............
